OceanX announced 'A Shared Voyage: OceanX China 2026', a joint U.S.-Chinese goodwill mission. This initiative, founded by Ray Dalio and Mark Dalio, will bring together 10 American and 10 Chinese early-career ocean scientists, students, and instructors aboard the OceanXplorer. The voyage, from March 29 to April 8, 2026, will start in Hong Kong and conclude in Shanghai. The mission is an extension of Ray Dalio's 42-year relationship with China and is delivered in collaboration with the China — Chinese People s Institute of Foreign Affairs, the China — Second Institute of Oceanography, and the China-United States Exchange Foundation. Its goals are to promote people-to-people exchanges, advance ocean literacy and scientific understanding, and equip participants with communication skills. Vincent Pieribone, Co-CEO of OceanX, and representatives from the Chinese collaborating entities, Lyu Tin and Huang Wei, emphasized the program's importance for ocean science education and international understanding.
