The acquisition by Nord Precious Metals Mining of the Gowganda Property is expected to positively impact its stock price by expanding its silver and battery metals resource base. This transaction also provides Battery Mineral Resources with capital and a royalty stream, which could improve its financial position.
Nord Precious Metals Mining Inc. completed the acquisition of four mining leases in the Gowganda Silver Camp of Canada — Ontario from North American Cobalt Inc., a subsidiary of Battery Mineral Resources, on March 31, 2026. The consideration for the acquisition included $1,000,000 cash, 4,401,408 common shares of Nord Precious Metals Mining issued to Battery Mineral Resources, a 3.0% net smelter returns royalty on the Gowganda Property, and deferred consideration of $3,750,000 payable over three years. Up to 50% of the deferred payments can be satisfied in Nord Precious Metals Mining shares, subject to a maximum share limit. The transaction is still awaiting final approval from the TSX Venture Exchange. This acquisition enhances Nord Precious Metals Mining's position in high-grade silver and strategic battery metals.
