He cited renewed violence across Nigeria — Borno State, Nigeria — Plateau State, Nigeria — Kaduna State, and Nigeria — Kwara State, including a terrorist assault in Nigeria — Maiduguri, the killing of over 200 residents in Woro community, and the deaths of wedding guests in Nigeria — Kaduna State and over 30 people in Nigeria — Jos. Olawepo-Hashim described the situation as a 'national tragedy' and criticized the Bola Tinubu Administration's responses as insufficient, lacking a coordinated national strategy. He warned that continued violence risks becoming normalized and called for urgent action from both Nigerians and the international community, noting that global attention has shifted due to events like the Iran War.
