Jammu and Kashmir reviews essential supplies

The Chief Secretary of India — Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo, chaired several high-level meetings with administrative secretaries, divisional commissioners, and district administrations to review the availability and distribution of essential commodities like LPG, petrol, diesel, fertilizers, and food grains. This was prompted by the evolving geopolitical situation in West Asia. Officials, including Saurabh Bhardwaj, Ramesh Kumar, and Anshul Garg, presented comprehensive data indicating stable stocks and transit supplies across both India — Jammu and Kashmir divisions. Directives were issued for daily monitoring of stock positions, real-time access to Petroleum industry' digital portals for tracking LPG distribution, intensified inspections to prevent hoarding and black marketing, and ensuring priority supply to critical institutions and migrant laborers. The administration also emphasized public communication to counter misinformation and reassured citizens that there is no shortage of essential commodities.
