The positive Phase II clinical trial data for MiNK Therapeutics' agenT-797 could lead to increased investor confidence and a potential rise in MiNK Therapeutics' stock price. This development is significant for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, particularly in the oncology sector, as it offers a new potential treatment strategy for a challenging cancer.
MiNK Therapeutics announced positive data from an investigator-initiated Phase II trial conducted at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The trial evaluated agenT-797, MiNK Therapeutics' allo-iNKT cell therapy, in combination with botensilimab and balstilimab, ramucirumab, and paclitaxel for patients with advanced PD-1 refractory gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma. The study achieved a 77% disease control rate and showed long-term survival beyond 20 months in a subset of patients, with meaningful improvements in progression-free survival and overall survival in patients who received an induction strategy. Jennifer Buell, President and CEO of MiNK Therapeutics, highlighted the potential of agenT-797 as an immune orchestrator. The data will be presented by Samuel L. Cytryn at the American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting.
