Kaduna Community Denies Army Rescue

The Kuturmi Unity Development Association in Nigeria — Kaduna State has strongly denied claims by the Nigeria — Nigerian Army that 31 worshippers abducted during an Easter service in Ariko community, Kachia Local Government Area, have been rescued. J. D. Ariko, President of the association, stated that the abducted individuals remain in captivity, with their families still in contact with the kidnappers. The community described the Nigeria — Nigerian Army's reports as false and misleading, expressing concern that such inaccurate information could create false hope and erode public trust. This denial follows an Easter Sunday attack by suspected bandits on two churches in Ariko, where several worshippers were killed and many others abducted. The Kuturmi Unity Development Association has urged authorities to intensify genuine and coordinated efforts for the immediate and unconditional release of the victims.
