The development of this electric logistics corridor between Morocco and France is expected to positively impact the logistics and automotive sectors by promoting lower-emission freight. Gotion High-tech, Green Power Morocco, and Chery are positioned to benefit from this initiative, potentially increasing their market share and reputation in sustainable transportation solutions.
Gotion High-tech, Green Power Morocco (GPM), and Chery have signed an agreement to establish a heavy-duty electric logistics corridor connecting Morocco and France. This 2,000-km route, running from Agadir to Perpignan via the Port of Tangier, aims to reduce emissions by phasing in electric trucks and supporting infrastructure. Gotion High-tech and Green Power Morocco will form a joint venture to manage electric fleets, battery-swapping stations, smart dispatching, and energy storage, with an initial deployment of 100 electric trucks equipped with Gotion High-tech battery systems. Chery will provide commercial vehicle engineering and manufacturing capabilities. The project focuses on scalable electrification, energy infrastructure, and digital logistics to create a model for reducing freight emissions.
