The agreement between EnWave and Rhizome Food and Farming LLC is expected to positively impact EnWave's stock due to potential future commercial licenses and royalties from its REV™ technology. It also highlights the growing interest in innovative food processing technologies within the food and agriculture industries.
EnWave Corporation has signed a Research and Development License Agreement (RDLA) with Rhizome Food and Farming LLC, a North American food company led by chef Dan Barber. Under the RDLA, Rhizome Food and Farming LLC has purchased a 3.6kW Radiant Energy Vacuum (REV™) dehydration machine from EnWave for commercial product development and research. This agreement allows Rhizome Food and Farming LLC to use EnWave's REV™ technology for R&D activities, including collaboration with third-party food and agriculture companies and producing limited commercial products for market trials. Rhizome Food and Farming LLC, launched in 2025 by Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture and Blue Hill at Stone Barns, aims to use REV™ technology to explore shelf stability, nutrient density, and flavor, leveraging its network of chefs, scientists, and industry collaborators. This partnership expands EnWave's network of R&D partners and could lead to future royalty-bearing commercial licenses if Rhizome Food and Farming LLC scales successful concepts.
