This 1,200 MW project, the first hydro project in the Lohit Basin, is expected to generate 4,852.95 million units of energy annually and will strengthen power supply in India — Himachal Pradesh, support peak demand management, and contribute to balancing the national grid. The project will be implemented through a joint venture between NBCC (India) Limited and the Government of India — Himachal Pradesh. The India — India will provide significant budgetary support for infrastructure and central financial assistance for India — Himachal Pradesh's equity share.
