The implementation of eQoS by InCoax Networks in its D-series platform is expected to positively impact the company's market position and revenue by offering enhanced broadband services. This development also strengthens the MoCA Access standard, potentially benefiting other members of Multimedia over Coax Alliance.
InCoax Networks has implemented eQoS (enhanced Quality of Service) in its D-series DPU platform, making it the first to bring eQoS to MoCA Access. This enhancement provides advanced bandwidth allocation, traffic classification, and congestion handling over existing in-building coax, giving operators greater control over capacity in Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs). Jakob Tobieson, CEO of InCoax Networks, emphasized that broadband quality is defined by service performance under load, which eQoS addresses. Marcos Martínez, President at Multimedia over Coax Alliance, noted that eQoS is a significant addition to the MoCA specification, improving service-aware MoCA Access networks in dense MDU environments. This development is expected to enable faster time to revenue in MDUs, more predictable service quality, and support differentiated broadband offerings for InCoax Networks.
