Aitech Launches New Intel-Powered SBCs

Aitech, a leader in AI-powered rugged embedded computing systems, announced the availability of its new U-C8600 and U-C8601 single board computers (SBCs) on April 9, 2026. These SBCs are designed for military and aerospace systems, integrating Intel's 14th generation Core Ultra technology, which includes a hybrid multi-core X86 CPU, high-performance GPU, and a Neural Processing Unit (NPU). The new products offer significant performance improvements over their predecessor, the U-C850X, with approximately 2.5x CPU and 2x GPU performance enhancements. The U-C8600 and U-C8601 are SOSA-aligned and SWaP-C efficient, with the U-C8600 optimized for I/O-intensive workloads and the U-C8601 for compute-intensive workloads. These SBCs aim to accelerate AI at the tactical edge, providing high-speed connectivity, power optimization, and reliable operation in harsh environments. Aitech lists several major aerospace and defense companies, including Airbus, BAE Systems, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin, as its customers.
