The formation of Prologis Logistics Investment Venture Europepe (PLIVE) by La Caisse and Prologis is expected to positively impact the Europepean logistics real estate market by increasing investment and development in high-quality properties. This venture reflects confidence in the long-term fundamentals of the Europepean logistics sector, driven by supply chain reshaping and e-commerce growth.
La Caisse (La Caisse), a global investment group, and Prologis, Inc. (Prologis), a publicly traded company, have announced the creation of Prologis Logistics Investment Venture Europepe (PLIVE), a new pan-Europepean joint venture. La Caisse will hold a 70% interest, while Prologis will hold 30% and serve as the operating partner, providing asset management and development expertise. The venture will launch with approximately EUR 1 billion (CAD 1.6 billion) in seed assets, including 844,000 square metres of Class A logistics space across France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The partners plan to expand the platform through disciplined acquisitions and development in Europepe's core logistics markets. This builds on their existing relationship, which includes a logistics joint venture formed in Brazil in 2019. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC acted as the exclusive financial advisor to La Caisse.
