The Liaison Agreement between BSV Association and DLMS User Association is expected to enhance interoperability and security in metering systems, potentially benefiting utilities and technology providers. This collaboration could lead to more efficient and integrated smart metering solutions, impacting the broader energy and utility sectors.
The BSV Association and the DLMS User Association have signed a Liaison Agreement to advance interoperable, secure, and future-ready metering systems. This partnership aims to align STS token technology with the DLMS/COSEM framework, bridging the gap between legacy infrastructure and next-generation smart metering. The collaboration seeks to enhance interoperability, strengthen smart prepayment integration, and unlock greater value across the global metering ecosystem. To discuss this strategic alignment, BSV Association, in partnership with Africa (part of VUKA Group), and DLMS User Association, is hosting a free webinar on May 7, 2026. Industry experts, including Lance Hawkins-Dady, Franco Pucci, Ron Taylor from BSV Association, and Sergio Lazzarotto from DLMS User Association, will present insights into how STS tokens can be securely transported using DLMS/COSEM, the role of Generic Companion Profiles, and the future of token technology and smart metering.
