India, US Expand Pax Silica Cooperation

India and the United States have agreed to enhance their cooperation under the Pax Silica framework, alongside broader economic and technology engagements, specifically in artificial intelligence and critical minerals. This agreement was reached during discussions between India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and US Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob S Helberg. India formally joined Pax Silica in February, an international coalition led by the United States aimed at securing and strengthening supply chains for semiconductors, AI infrastructure, and critical minerals. The collaboration seeks to foster strategic partnerships and coordinated actions across the entire supply chain, with Vikram Misri also reviewing bilateral trade and defense ties during his visit to the United States.
