This capital injection signals strong investor confidence, potentially attracting further investment in the mining sector, particularly for critical minerals.
Selkirk Copper Mines has increased its previously announced 'bought deal' private placement to aggregate gross proceeds of $30,001,300 due to strong investor demand. The offering, led by Canaccord Genuity Corp. and including Meritz Securities Inc., Raymond James Financial, and Stifel Inc., consists of 4,412,000 flow-through shares at $1.70 each and 19,566,000 common shares at $1.15 each. Selkirk Copper Mines will use the proceeds to continue development of its Minto Mine, as well as for working capital and general corporate purposes. The company has also granted the underwriters an option to purchase an additional 4,348,000 common shares. The closing of the offering is anticipated around April 30, 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, including from the TSX Venture Exchange.
