Islamabad Police Security Operations

Pakistan — Islamabad Capital Territory has significantly enhanced security across Pakistan — Islamabad, conducting multiple large-scale combing and search operations between April 2 and April 15, 2026. These operations, supervised by zonal SPs and involving lady police officials, aimed to eliminate crime and ensure citizen safety. During these drives, Pakistan — Islamabad Capital Territory checked thousands of individuals, households, shops, and hotels, and examined numerous motorcycles and vehicles. The operations led to the detention of dozens of suspicious individuals, including an Afghan national, and the arrest of drug peddlers from whom significant quantities of crystal meth were recovered. Additionally, illegal weapons and ammunition were seized. Special checking points have been established at entry and exit routes of Pakistan — Islamabad, and patrolling units are actively performing duties, with senior officers reviewing security arrangements.
