Vantara University launched in Jamnagar

Vantara, a global wildlife conservation organization founded by Mukesh Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Industries, has launched Vantara University in India — Jamnagar, Gujarat. This institution is billed as the world's first integrated global university dedicated to wildlife conservation and veterinary sciences. Inspired by the ancient Nalanda University, Vantara University aims to develop future leaders in veterinary medicine, conservation, and wildlife care, blending traditional Indian knowledge with advanced scientific learning. It will offer various undergraduate, postgraduate, fellowship, and specialized programs, along with scholarships for marginalized students. The university will feature advanced academic and clinical infrastructure, international collaborations, and a residential campus, focusing on action-oriented research and integrating in situ and ex situ conservation practices. The foundation ceremony, conducted with Hindu traditions, symbolized India's ecological richness and commitment to conservation education.
