Awkunanaw Clan Endorses Peter Mbah

The Awkunanaw clan, spanning several communities in Enugu South and Nkanu West Local Government Areas of Nigeria — Enugu State, has officially endorsed Governor Peter Mbah for a second term in office in 2027. This endorsement took place at a mega rally at the Civic Centre, Akpasha, where Peter Mbah was presented with an Ofo, a traditional symbol of authority and justice. Prominent figures such as former Senate President Ken Nnamani and former Anambra State Governor Jim Nwobodo articulated the clan's unwavering support, praising Peter Mbah's achievements in less than three years. The clan advised any other Awkunanaw indigene interested in the governorship seat to defer their ambitions until the office rotates back to the Enugu East Senatorial Zone. Peter Mbah, in turn, defended his administration's accomplishments against opposition claims and warned against divisive politicians.
