India's AI and Manufacturing Momentum

Frank-Jürgen Richter, former Director of the World Economic Forum and Chairman of Horasis, has highlighted India as a bright spot in the global economy amidst challenges like war, energy crisis, and the upcoming AI crisis. He believes India has the momentum to become a global leader in AI and manufacturing, contrasting its rapid progress with Europe's failure to establish sovereign AI capacities. India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has declared the country's ambition to become an AI superpower, following the path of the United States and China. Richter also noted India's significant strides in reducing red tape and corruption, which are positive for business. He emphasized the importance of India continuing to welcome Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and avoiding protectionism to sustain its growth.
