The discovery of a new high-grade gold mineralized zone by Orosur Mining Inc. is likely to positively impact its stock price and investor confidence, as it suggests significant growth potential for the Anza Project. This event could also attract broader investor attention to the gold mining sector in Colombia, potentially benefiting other companies operating in the region.
Orosur Mining Inc. announced the discovery of a new high-grade gold mineralized zone, named Pepas West, located approximately 100m west of its existing Pepas deposit within the Anza Project in Colombia. Initial drilling results from PEP082 and PEP083 show significant gold intersections, with PEP082 yielding 26.4m @ 2.85g/t Au and PEP083 returning 14.45m @ 8.27g/t Au from surface. The geological characteristics of this new zone are similar to the main Pepas deposit, suggesting a related mineralizing event. Orosur Mining Inc. has commenced orientation drilling at Pepas West to better understand its form and trend. Additionally, the company has started drilling at the APTA prospect and completed a drone-mounted magnetic survey over the El Cedro and APTA areas to aid in future drill targeting. These developments are part of Orosur Mining Inc.'s broader exploration strategy for the Anza Project, which it fully acquired in November 2024 from previous JV partners Newmont and Agnico Eagle.
