Nigeria VP Condoles Kebbi State

Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, paid a condolence visit to Nigeria — Kebbi State on behalf of President Bola Tinubu. The visit was prompted by the death of Muhammad Usman Zuru, the Speaker of the Nigeria — Kebbi State House of Assembly, and recent attacks in Nigeria — Shanga Local Government Area that resulted in the deaths of 11 individuals, including security personnel. Kashim Shettima conveyed the federal government's sympathy and assured support for affected communities, with Zubaida Umar of the United States — Federal Emergency Management Agency also present. Nasir Idris, the Governor of Nigeria — Kebbi State, expressed gratitude for the visit and detailed the state's efforts, including N100 million for displaced persons and N60 million for families of fallen security personnel. Sanusi Mikailu, the Emir of Zuru, also acknowledged the support.
