NRx Pharmaceuticals Incorporates Defense Subsidiary

NRx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced the incorporation of NRx Defense Systems, Inc., a new R&D subsidiary focused on developing neuroplastic treatments for depression and PTSD in military and first-responder settings. Dr. Dennis K. McBride, a distinguished figure with extensive experience in CNS disorders, neuroplastic therapy, and robotics, has been appointed as the first President of NRx Defense Systems. The subsidiary will partner with Zeta Surgical, Inc., whose AI-powered neuronavigation platform received FDA 510(k) clearance in October 2025, to develop a prototype robotic-enabled Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) technology combined with D-cycloserine. This initiative aims to provide rapid and efficient treatment solutions that can be forward-deployed within military organizations, addressing the five-fold increased risk of these conditions in front-line personnel and the issue of combat non-deployability for those on antidepressants. The prototype is expected to be unveiled at the 14th Annual meeting of the Clinical TMS Society in June 2026.
