Nigeria Distributes Education Materials

The Nigeria — Universal Basic Education Commission (Nigeria), in collaboration with the Nigeria — Federal Capital Territory Universal Basic Education Board, has commenced the distribution of teaching and learning materials to public basic schools in Nigeria — Federal Capital Territory (Nigeria). Aisha Garba, Executive Secretary of Nigeria — Universal Basic Education Commission (Nigeria), reaffirmed the Nigerian federal government's commitment to quality education, aligning with Bola Tinubu's 'Renewed Hope Agenda'. The initiative includes the construction of over 10,000 classrooms, training of over 500 teachers, distribution of over 400,000 teaching materials, and supplying over seven million core textbooks nationwide. Efforts have also brought 700,000 out-of-school children back to school. Nigeria — Federal Capital Territory (Nigeria) received substantial materials, including textbooks, pencils, smart boards, and computers. Nyesom Wike, through Danlami Hayyo, highlighted the FCT Administration's approval for the renovation of 108 schools. Florence Wenegieme emphasized the importance of the distribution for strengthening foundational education, while Idris Musa cautioned against material diversion.
