The collaboration between NagraVision and Harmonic to launch a new watermarking-as-a-service solution is expected to positively impact both companies' stock prices due to enhanced product offerings and potential revenue growth. This innovation addresses the growing concern of content piracy in live sports, which could lead to increased adoption by media companies and streaming service providers, thereby benefiting the broader media and entertainment industry.
NagraVision, a Kudelski Group company, and Harmonic have launched a new fully managed, event-based watermarking-as-a-service solution. This collaboration extends their long-standing partnership, aiming to combat content theft in live sports and OTT events. The solution integrates Harmonic's VOS 360 Media SaaS platform with NAGRA NexGuard forensic watermarking, allowing rights owners to quickly identify and mitigate illegal restreaming. It is designed to reduce operational burdens, complexity, and cost for major live sports and OTT event streamers by offering a pay-per-event model. The service will be available as an upgrade for existing Harmonic VOS 360 Media SaaS customers or as part of the NAGRA Streaming Security solution. Both companies will be showcasing this solution at the 2026 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
