Lucky Aiyedatiwa lectures at FUTA

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Governor of Nigeria — Ondo State, delivered a foundation day lecture at Federal University of Technology Akure, emphasizing that Nigeria's future economic and technological advancement depends on quality leadership and strong educational institutions. He urged universities to train and equip students with leadership skills, adaptability, and critical thinking to navigate global challenges, particularly in the age of artificial intelligence. Lucky Aiyedatiwa dismissed concerns about AI replacing human leadership, stressing the continued need for wisdom, judgment, and emotional intelligence. Adenike Oladiji, the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Technology Akure, affirmed the centrality of leadership and technology and commended Nigeria — Ondo State's support for the university, including infrastructure upgrades and the conversion of a hospital into a teaching hospital.
