Led by Nigeria — Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) PATHFINDER and Forward Operating Base (FOB) Bonny, intelligence-driven operations uncovered major illegal refining sites and crude oil storage facilities. These operations resulted in the recovery of over 1.2 million litres of suspected stolen crude oil and illegally refined petroleum products, with an estimated value exceeding ₦1.3 billion. Additionally, three vessels, Motor Tanker MKPODU, Motor Tanker Westaf, and Motor Tanker Stelios K, laden with over 900 metric tonnes of suspected stolen crude oil, were intercepted. The Chief of the Naval Staff, Idi Abbas, has approved a 90-day extension of Operation DELTA SENTINEL to maintain pressure on criminal networks and safeguard Nigeria's economic interests.
