Ebanx, a global technology company specializing in cross-border payment services, has announced its expansion into five new countries: Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Turkey. This strategic move increases Ebanx's presence to seven economies in Asia, including existing operations in India and the Philippines, tapping into a USD 610 billion digital commerce market with over 1.1 billion consumers. The expansion follows key milestones, including the inauguration of Ebanx's Asia-Pacific Headquarters in Singapore and obtaining a Major Payment Institution license from the Singapore — Monetary Authority of Singapore. João Del Valle, Co-founder and CEO of Ebanx, highlighted the region's fast-growing consumer base and the need for local payment infrastructure. Eduardo de Abreu, CPO and regional CEO of Ebanx Singapore, noted that Southeast Asia's payment landscape, dominated by e-wallets and account-to-account transfers, presents a unique opportunity for Ebanx to provide tailored solutions for global merchants.
