Bangladesh receives diesel from India

Bangladesh has started receiving an additional 5,000 tonnes of Diesel fuel from India via the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline, with the consignment delivered to the Parbatipur Padma Oil depot. This is part of an ongoing effort to ensure a steady fuel supply in Bangladesh. Previously, Bangladesh received 8,000 tonnes of Diesel fuel on April 14 and 22,000 tonnes in March from Oil India Limited — Numaligarh Refinery in India. A total of 30,000 tonnes of Diesel fuel arrived between March and April 14. Bangladesh expects to receive approximately 25,000 tonnes of Diesel fuel from India in April, with another 7,000 tonnes anticipated from Oil India Limited — Numaligarh Refinery in the coming days. Md Ahsan Habib Chowdhury, manager of the Parbatipur Padma Oil depot, confirmed the government's commitment to maintaining normal fuel stocks and uninterrupted supply.
