AESG, a global engineering, consultancy, and advisory firm, announced the expansion of its Mission Critical division to provide full multidisciplinary integrated design delivery for data centers. This strategic move positions AESG to offer end-to-end support across the data center lifecycle, capitalizing on the rapidly growing GCC data center market, projected to reach US$9.4 billion by 2030. The expansion aims to tackle industry challenges such as cost and schedule overruns by integrating expertise across various disciplines from the outset. Saeed Al Abbar, CEO of AESG, emphasized the firm's integrated approach to ensure buildability and budget control. The division will be led by industry veterans Steve Liong, Commercial Director, and Ferruh Ertekin, Head of Mission Critical, focusing on markets like the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, where demand for hyperscale data centers is driven by cloud adoption and AI.
