Apple Appoints Johny Srouji Chief Hardware Officer

Apple Inc. has announced the appointment of Johny Srouji as its new chief hardware officer, effective immediately. Srouji, previously Senior Vice President of Hardware Technologies, will now lead both Hardware Engineering and the hardware technologies organization. This expanded role comes as John Ternus transitions from Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering to the incoming CEO of Apple Inc., taking over from Tim Cook on September 1. Both Tim Cook and John Ternus lauded Johny Srouji's contributions to Apple Inc.'s silicon strategy and his leadership in developing breakthrough hardware innovations. Johny Srouji joined Apple Inc. in 2008 and has been instrumental in the development of custom chips and hardware technologies, including Apple silicon. Prior to Apple Inc., he held senior positions at Intel and IBM.
