Shahi Exports Scales Fibre52 Technology

Shahi Exports, a major Indian apparel manufacturer, has partnered with US-based Innovo Fiber to implement and scale Fibre52, a patented cotton pretreatment technology. This initiative, deployed at Shahi's knits processing facility, represents the largest industrial-scale adoption of Fibre52 globally. The technology aims to reduce the environmental impact of cotton processing by cutting water consumption by approximately 25% and steam consumption by 49% compared to conventional methods. Shahi Exports plans to transition 25% of its knit processing capacity, about 3,000 tons per annum, to the Fibre52 system. Both companies view this collaboration as a long-term innovation platform to expand applications and deepen integration for lower-impact textile manufacturing.
