Lagos Governor Seeks Legislative Support

Nigeria — Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, appealed to the Nigeria — Lagos State House of Assembly for sustained support to complete ongoing projects and consolidate reforms before the end of his tenure. The appeal was made at the 19th Executive-Legislative Parley, where he emphasized the importance of collaboration between the executive and legislative arms for the THEMES+ development agenda. Babajide Sanwo-Olu commended the Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, and lawmakers for their productive working relationship, which has led to the passage of critical laws supporting infrastructure development and fiscal reforms. He also announced plans to present a Legacy and Transition Bill to institutionalize key policies, convene a Citizens' Assembly for inclusive governance, and publish a 'State of Lagos Report' detailing achievements and commitments. The governor assured that no major project, especially in the transport sector, would be abandoned, reinforcing the administration's commitment to continuity and accountability.
