Graphene Limited announced the successful results of a world-first production trial of graphene-enhanced cement roof tiles, conducted in partnership with FP McCann. The five-month project utilized 40 tonnes of PureGRAPH enhanced cement, developed by Breedon Group, to produce over 10,000 tiles at FP McCann's Cadeby facility in the United Kingdom. The trial demonstrated a cradle-to-gate reduction in carbon emissions of up to 14% and an 8% reduction in cement required, while maintaining strength and reducing costs compared to traditional CEM-I cement. The tiles will be used in various projects, including a new building at FP McCann's Cadeby site. The United Kingdom government, through its United Kingdom — Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and United Kingdom — Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, supported the project as part of its commitment to sustainable housing. This trial solidifies Graphene's entry into the global cement roof tile market, which is projected to reach US$11.8 billion by 2034.
