This integration provides cyber resilience capabilities to organizations using Alphabet Inc. — Google Cloud Platform, specifically for their managed PostgreSQL databases. The new offering includes immutable, automated, and air-gapped backups, along with rapid cross-region recovery, designed to protect against ransomware and meet compliance requirements. Anneka Gupta, Chief Product Officer at Rubrik, highlighted that this partnership allows customers to achieve both cyber resilience and disaster recovery without altering their existing architecture. The move addresses a growing need for robust data protection in regulated industries, as indicated by Rubrik Zero Labs research showing a high incidence of cyberattacks and challenges in securing data across varied ecosystems.
