USF Student Murder, Roommate Charged

Zamil Limon, a doctoral student at the University of South Florida, was found dead on the Howard Frankland Bridge in Tampa. His roommate, Hisham Saleh Abugharbeih, was taken into custody after barricading himself in his home following a domestic violence call. Abugharbeih was initially charged with unlawfully moving a dead body, failure to report a death, tampering with evidence, false imprisonment, and battery. Subsequently, he was charged with two counts of first-degree premeditated murder with a weapon in the deaths of Zamil Limon and Nahida S. Bristy. Nahida S. Bristy, also a doctoral student and Limon's girlfriend, is still missing, though authorities believe she may be dead based on evidence found in the shared apartment. Both Limon and Bristy were from Bangladesh. The United States — Hillsborough County, Florida Sheriff's Office is actively investigating the case and searching for Bristy.
