Gunmen launched a deadly attack on the Olegabulu community in Nigeria — Agatu Local Government Area of Nigeria — Benue State, killing five persons. The victims include a traditional ruler, his wife, son, and two other residents. The assailants, who arrived on two motorcycles, initially interacted with locals in their dialect to avoid suspicion before opening fire at the monarch's residence. They operated for about 20 minutes, also killing two more people in a nearby compound and injuring one. Melvin Ejeh, the Chairman of Nigeria — Agatu, confirmed the incident, stating that security personnel, including the Nigeria — Nigeria Police Force, have visited the scene.
