Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level meeting of the India — Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Council to discuss and implement comprehensive strategies for transforming the Union Territory's education sector. Key agendas included the 'Design Your Degree' program, integration of IT and Artificial Intelligence into the curriculum, and promotion of entrepreneurship and skill-based education aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat. The council, including Vice Chairman Dinesh Balsingh and Vice Chancellors from institutions like University of Jammu, University of Kashmir, and IIT Jammu, also deliberated on increasing the Gross Enrolment Ratio, joint degree programs, and budget allocations for 2025-26 and 2026-27, all within the framework of the National Education Policy 2020.
