Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, former Governor of Kano State and former National Chairman of the Nigeria — All Progressives Congress, called for increased investment in Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to combat street begging in Northern Nigeria. His remarks were made at the 10th anniversary celebration and documentary premiere of the Let s Talk Humanity Initiative (LTH) in Abuja. The LTH, founded by Fatima Ganduje-Ajimobi, has empowered 1,000 beneficiaries annually since 2015 and plans to establish a National Resource Centre for sensory-impaired individuals. Dr. Bernard Doro, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, also spoke, emphasizing that inclusion is an obligation and accessibility should be integrated into design from the outset. The event underscored the need for a 'silent revolution' through technology and education to transform the lives of PWDs, enabling them to become productive members of society.
