The Nigeria — Oyo State Police Command arrested 16 suspected members of the Eiye Confraternity at The Polytechnic, Ibadan. The suspects, including 14 males and two females, were apprehended while allegedly planning a meeting. Some of the individuals were already on the command's watchlist for involvement in murder cases and cult-related activities. Police recovered various weapons, including guns, pistols, cartridges, axes, and charms. The operation was led by Commissioner of Police Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, with approval from The Polytechnic, Ibadan authorities. Ayanlade Olayinka, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrests and stated that investigations are ongoing to identify other accomplices.
