Statkraft and SUNCATCHER Partner for German Solar

Statkraft, a leading European renewable energy provider, and Suncatcher, an international renewable energy project developer, have signed an agreement for the marketing and optimization of three combined solar and battery storage systems in Germany. The projects, named 'Klötze II', 'Salzwedel', and 'Seehausen', were developed by Suncatcher and will be commissioned in the second half of 2026. They collectively feature 34.5 MWp of solar PV capacity and 12 MW / 24 MWh of battery storage, with batteries exclusively charged by the solar plants. The agreement, which runs until 2031, establishes a long-term partnership where Statkraft will manage the integrated control of generation, storage, and marketing, utilizing a profit-sharing model for the battery assets. This collaboration aims to enhance revenue potential, ensure economic stability, and support Germany's energy transition by integrating renewable energy into the market efficiently.
