Digital integration of mandis will empower farmers, and the mission will also promote cotton waste recycling and diversification into other natural fibers. The India — Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and the India — Ministry of Textiles will jointly implement the mission, involving various research institutions. The goal is to achieve 498 lakh bales of cotton production by 2030-31, benefiting approximately 32 lakh farmers and strengthening India's position in global textile markets.
