The initiative will be funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe programme, with India's India — Ministry of Heavy Industries supporting domestic participation. Key objectives include boosting innovation in advanced recycling technologies, developing safe and digitalized collection systems, and establishing a joint India-EU pilot line in India for real-world testing and industrial deployment. Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Ajay K. Sood, and European Union Ambassador to India, Hervé Delphin, both emphasized the importance of this collaboration for resource security, environmental sustainability, and advancing shared climate goals.
