Stellantis Opens Morocco Dismantling Center

Stellantis has inaugurated its first vehicle dismantling center in the Middle East and Africa region, located in Morocco — Casablanca, Morocco. This €1.6 million investment, part of Stellantis' broader circular economy strategy through its SUSTAINera business unit, aims to process up to 10,000 end-of-life vehicles annually. The facility will source vehicles from insurance companies, auctions, and dedicated channels, dismantling them to recover reusable parts for resale through Stellantis' after-sales network and digital platforms like B-Parts. The project is expected to create around 150 direct and indirect jobs and positions Morocco as a regional industrial hub for structured end-of-life vehicle management. This initiative is designed to extend the lifespan of vehicles and parts, optimize resource use, and provide more affordable aftersales options for customers in Morocco and Sub-Saharan West Africa. It also highlights a growing trend among major automotive groups like Suzuki, SK Group, and Mercedes-Benz Group to invest in sustainability and recycling.
