The Bangladesh — Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in India launched JANANI (Journey of Antenatal, Natal and Neonatal Integrated Care), a digital platform aimed at strengthening maternal and child healthcare services. This platform, an upgraded version of the existing RCH portal, enables seamless tracking of beneficiaries, real-time monitoring, and interoperable health records. Key features include QR-enabled digital Mother and Child Health (MCH) cards, automated alerts for high-risk pregnancies, and integration with national platforms like U-WIN and POSHAN. Beneficiaries can register using unique identifiers such as ABHA, India — Aadhaar, and mobile numbers, ensuring continuity of care for migratory populations and preventing duplication of records. As of its launch, JANANI has recorded 1.34 crore beneficiary registrations and over 30 lakh pregnant women registrations.
