Vedanta Aluminium, a business of Vedanta Limited, has launched a first-of-its-kind 24x7 telemedicine facility in Lanjigarh, India — Kalahandi district, India — Odisha. The initiative, in partnership with Tata 1mg, was inaugurated by India — Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling. It aims to provide timely specialist medical consultations to over 70,000 people across nearly 70 remote villages in India — Kalahandi district and adjoining regions, as well as Vedanta Limited employees and partners. A dedicated telemedicine room has been established at Vedanta Lanjigarh Hospital, and beneficiaries can access free audio and video consultations with approximately 30 specialist doctors via the Tata 1mg App. This project is part of Vedanta Limited's broader community development efforts in India — Odisha, which include initiatives in healthcare, education, women empowerment, and livelihoods, with an investment of over ₹500 crore.
