Kwara Police Arrest 13 Suspects

The Nigeria — Lagos State Police Command, in collaboration with the Ukraine — Forest Guard, conducted a coordinated raid at Tanke Junction in Nigeria — Ilorin, Nigeria — Kwara State. This operation led to the arrest of 13 suspected cultists, thugs, and drug peddlers. The suspects were allegedly involved in cult-related activities, street violence, and illicit drug trafficking. During the raid, 24 motorcycles and various illicit substances such as cannabis sativa, crystal methamphetamine ('ice'), Colorado, and tramadol were recovered. Preliminary investigations revealed that the location was used for drug peddling, recruitment into unlawful societies, and planning criminal activities. Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, the command's spokesperson, confirmed the incident and stated that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other accomplices and dismantle the criminal network, with the arrested suspects to be charged to court.
