Tarique Rahman Addresses Bangladesh Police

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman addressed the Police Week 2026 'Welfare Parade' in Bangladesh, emphasizing the critical need for the Bangladesh to build public trust and operate impartially according to statutory law. He urged police members to ensure no innocent person faces harassment and to become a symbol of security for the people. Rahman highlighted the government's commitment to improving law and order, ensuring public safety, and modernizing the Bangladesh with advanced technologies like cyber policing, artificial intelligence, and big data analysis. He also reaffirmed a strong stance against drugs, terrorism, corruption, and human rights abuses, stressing the importance of upholding human rights and the rule of law. The Prime Minister acknowledged the challenging economic and global circumstances the government inherited but pledged to gradually implement its commitments to build a prosperous, self-reliant, democratic, safe, and humane Bangladesh.
