The United Arab Emirates — Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), along with the United Arab Emirates — Abu Dhabi Public Health Center (ADPHC), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch). This partnership aims to advance cancer research, personalized prevention, and precision medicine by combining Abu Dhabi's unified clinical and genomic data infrastructure, sovereign Artificial intelligence capabilities, and governed data environments with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center's globally renowned research engine. The collaboration will leverage Abu Dhabi's intelligent health system, including its liquid biopsy program and population-scale genomics program, to design protocols for multi-omics oncology research, accelerate cancer detection, develop digital health solutions using Artificial intelligence, and create prevention and education programs for the people of Abu Dhabi and beyond. Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the United Arab Emirates — Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, and Thomas Lynch Jr., President and Director of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, both emphasized the significance of this partnership in addressing cancer challenges.
