The 10th China — Hong Kong Primary School Computational Thinking Competition Grand Final and Awards Presentation Ceremony was held on May 16 at Ying Wa College, co-organized by CoolThink@JC and the Association of Computational Thinking InnoCommunity Teachers (ACTiCT). The event featured a Hackathon format, challenging primary school students in computational thinking, adaptability, and teamwork. The CoolThink@JC project, funded by Hong Kong Jockey Club and co-created by University of Hong Kong, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and University of Hong Kong, aims to inspire digital creativity. The Hong Kong — Education Bureau supported the competition and incorporated the teaching materials into the formal curriculum in China — Hong Kong. The program has also expanded to 50 primary schools in China and partnered with the Cambodian government to share its educational experience. Mr. Daniel Lai, Programme Director of CoolThink@JC, and Ms. Lam Wing Yee, Chief Curriculum Development Officer of the Hong Kong — Education Bureau, officiated the ceremony.
