Tata Power and Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a skill development ecosystem in Bhutan. This initiative aims to train a workforce for the development of 5,000 MW of clean energy capacity. The training programs will be delivered through Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI) and will cover safety, technical skills, and operations and maintenance for clean energy assets. The agreement was signed by Praveer Sinha, CEO & Managing Director of Tata Power, and Chhewang Rinzin, Managing Director of DGPC, in the presence of Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay. This partnership is a strategic step towards strengthening local capabilities and supporting Bhutan's growing renewable energy sector.
